Applica Solutions, Inc. awarded DMARTS Support Task on VETS 2 by Department of Homeland Security


Manassas, VA, September 16, 2024 - Applica Solutions, Inc. is thrilled to announce that we have secured the recompete contract to continue supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with the Document Management and Records Tracking System (DMARTS). This robust document repository system processes data from disaster assistance applications, digitizes written text using advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, and provides a secure platform for storing, searching, and retrieving essential documents. Our ongoing support empowers FEMA to efficiently execute its mission of responding to national disasters.


Since we began supporting DMARTS in 2019, we have made substantial improvements to its functionality and security. Our engineers successfully upgraded the system from an outdated, unsupported version to the latest vendor release—an intricate task given DMARTS’s extensive customizations and integrations. In addition, we have resolved several security vulnerabilities, leading to the renewal of the system’s Authority to Operate (ATO). Currently, we are leveraging our expertise in DMARTS COTS and cloud technology to assist FEMA in migrating the system to the cloud. Our exceptional performance has exceeded FEMA’s expectations, and we are honored to continue supporting DMARTS over the next five years.
